Meet Tom Gamel!
Tom is EPHIA's Corresponding Secretary and a lifelong resident of Price Hill. Tom and Mary moved into their current home 29 years ago. Tom attended Elder and UC, and recently retired from the City after 31 years of service. Tom's knowledge of the city is a big plus for EPHIA.
If you've lived in Price Hill very long you probably already know Tom. He has always given back to his community. Some of his contributions include serving on two EPHIA committees, Court Watch and Holy Family's Pastoral Council Board. He is a past member of the Santa Maria Board and past President of the Holy Family Parish Council. He has coached many youth teams over the years.
Tom and Mary like the community and the easy access to everywhere they want to go. Tom says that the housing stock is probably the best in the city, and East Price Hill is one of the city's most diverse communities.
Tom has several goals for East Price Hill: take back the community by eliminating crime, get property owners to take responsibility for their housing treasures, correct problems with absentee landlords and improve communication and participation. He believes that, "regardless of their social/economic level, everyone's ideas should be heard with courtesy and respect in order for us to be successful as an organization and as a community."
Tom ran for office because he thought it was important not only to identify problems but to get involved with their resolution. We are very fortunate that Tom gives so much of his time and talents to EPHIA and to the betterment of East Price Hill in general.

We owe a big thanks to Elberon United Methodist Church, St. Lawrence Church and Santa Maria for allowing us to use their parking areas as staging points for litter collection.

More big thanks to our many generous sponsors: Kroger, Primavista, Domino's, Hart's Pharmacy, McDonald's on Glenway, United Dairy Farmers, White Castle, Seton High School, Elder High School, the Cincinnati Police Department and the Cincinnati Fire Department. Thanks to both civic clubs, as well, for their generous support.
